摘要

Single-nodal and leafy shoot cuttings of Vitex negundo were collected from 1 and 2 year-old hedged plants. The cuttings were treated with 1000. 2000 AND 3000 ppm of IBA and NAA along with a control. Batches of planted cuttings were harvested after 40 days to assess the rooting and sprouting response. IBA at concentration of 3.000 ppm gave 100% sprouting and rooting. The average number of sprouts. shoot lengths and leaves per sprouted cutting were maximum under IBA 3.000 ppm. However, average roots length and number of roots per rooted cutting showed regular trend with IBA and NAA. Percentage of sprouting and rooting increased with increasing levels of IBA. but decreased with increasing concentration of NAA.
