Two new foliicolous fungi from India

Frequent and periodic surveys for the collection and study of the leaf spot microfungi infecting variety of the angiosperms from Sagar University campus has resulted into abundant gathering of fungal specimens. The detailed mycotaxonomic study exhibited two undescribed taxa viz., Chaetodiplodia citri sp.nov. and Sporidesmium botanicae sp.nov., collected on Citrus aurantifolia L. (Rutaceae) and Hemidesmus indicus Shultes (Asclepiadaceae) respectively. These are described, illustrated and compared withallied taxa.anrai_mycology@yahoo.com
