Baby Land Rovers will face Audi Q1

THE AUDI Q1 is set to go on sale in 2016 as the first true premium supermini-sized SUV on the market. Audi first confirmed the model for production a year ago and design work has now been signed off, Audi design chief Marc Lichte revealed at the recent Los Angeles motor show. The Q1 is one of several new SUVs planned by Audi as it seeks to grow its SUV sales from about 30 per cent of total volume now to 35 per cent by 2020.
