The Defender's had a few subtle tweaks since we last ran one. IT'S BEEN SOME time since we had a Land Rover Defender on the Autocar fleet. I can tell you when we last ran a Land Rover, because I've just spent a year driving a Freelander and I was as happy as apig in... just the kind of stuff that a Land Rover likes to gets stuck into. But a Defender? Well, there we scratch our heads. In fact, it was a green 50th Anniversary model, which means we had it in 1998. Ten years on we have a new 110 station wagon and, to my great relief, the concept is unchanged.
