Servicing: a pain game - We love our Freelander, but a ￡400 hit for a fluids change really hurt

OUR LAND ROVER Freelander has just returned from its first, 15,000-mile service in rude health. A young Einstein with a laptop has fixed the electric wing mirrors so that they only point at the rear wheels when you're reversing, the rear windscreen wiper now parks at three o'clock (probably a laptop job as well) and the Alpine sound system has new firmware for an improved sound (again, a laptop job). And it was all fixed under warranty.
