Big, brash and brawny, the Vauxhall VXR8 promises M5 thrills for half the money. We're finding out if it delivers WHY DOES the Vauxhall VXR8 exist? Is it a genuine attempt by GM's British arm to embarrass the German super-saloon hierarchy? Or is it merely a curio from down under, a homesick HSV Clubsport R8 that yearns to escape Bromley for Bathurst? Or perhaps someone at Vauxhall looked at the Holden Special Vehicles website and thought it was too good an opportunity to miss. We do too, so we're going to run one for six months.
