MERCEDES-BENZ'S legendary 300SL 'Gullwing' will be reborn some 55 years after its debut with this car, the SLS. Due on sale in the UK in 2010 with a price tag of around ￡120k, the new coupe spearheads an ambitious push by Mercedes' AMG performance division, which plans to use the car as the springboard for the introduction of further models. Mercedes-Benz is holding back the final design of the SLS until later this year, but these prototypes clearly show its long-bonnet proportions.
