WE'RE NOW THREE cars into our tour through the latest Mercedes-Benz E-class range, and we've moved into what should be a key part of the process: diesels. To recap, our plan is to run five E-classes for about a month each, before taking delivery of our own car, specced just the way we should like it. So after promising beginnings with the E500 Coupe (how could a Merc V8 disappoint?), we've just spent four weeks with the lesser-powered petrol two-door, the E350 CGI.
