Peugeot 3008 Allure HDi 115: 22.1.14, Cheshire Crossover gets minor revisions for 2014 in an effort to keep it competitive

THIS IS THE facelifted Peugeot 3008, a crossover that aims to blend elements of MPV, hatchback and SUV. More than 500,000 examples of the 3008 have been sold since its launch in 2009, a figure said to exceed the original estimate by 50 per cent. Peugeot is now freshening it in an effort to maintain its appeal among buyers whose heads may be turned by the likes of the recently launched second-generation Nissan Qashqai. The main change is the adoption of Peugeot's latest design language, including a pronounced front grille. Equipment levels have also been bolstered. For example, all models now feature Bluetooth as standard. Our test car was fitted with Peugeot's tried and tested 1.6-litre turbodiesel. It produces 114bhp and 200lb ft of torque and drives the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
