Skoda has signalled its intent to reach beyond its existing range of practical mainstream offerings with the unveiling of a sleek concept car that previews a new five-door liftback due in 2016. The VisionC is on display at this week's Geneva show and previews a new model that will sit between the Octavia and the Superb in Skoda's range. The new model will be a sister car to a similar proposed offering from parent company Volkswagen. It is based on the same MQB platform as the Octavia, alongside which it is planned to be built.
