摘要

One sample had apparently uniform cocoons, whereas the other had cocoons of uneven sizes. Adoption of the existing procedure indicated that the sample with cocoons of uneven sizes to be more uniform than the other. This proved that the existing procedure suffers from mathematical error as cocoons are conceived to be two dimensional regular shaped objects rather than three dimensional irregular shaped objects. Taking the third dimension of the cocoon into account, the paper proposes a new mathematical approach to calculate uniformity of cocoons.
