Alternaria leaf blight disease on Artocarpus seedlings - a new record.

This paper discusses the first incidence of leaf blight disease on one-month-old seedlings of Artocarpus raised and maintained in the nursery of the Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding, Coimbatore, India, on May and June within the 3-year periodic observation (2000-2003). The percentage incidence was low (less than 25%) on one month old seedlings. The percentage incidence was very severe (90-100%) on 6- to 8-month-old seedlings/saplings. The symptoms of the disease on various species of Artocarpus is also given.
