'BAUR 9502 (Shivani)' - a new high-yielding and early-maturing variety of Indian mustard for Jharkhand

Birsa Agricultural University has developed an early mustard variety, 'BAUR 9502 (Shivani)', which is tolerant to drought situation. It has been developed from a local selection. The variety has been released by the State Seed Sub-Committee during 2003 to replace the other poor-yielding varieties of toria grown under rainfed situations.
