Farmers Meeting Distribution of Soil Health Cards under Soil Health Campaign

Al-Southern Region, under the project of FAI-Agriculture Promotional Programme (APP), organized a farmers meeting at Kadambur Village, Valikanda-puram Taluk, Perambalur District in the State of Tamil Nadu on 19.06.2013 in collaboration with Hans Roever Krishi Vigyan Kendra (HRKVK), Perambalur. Before that, 115 soil samples from farmers' fields in and around Valikandapuram village were collected and analysed. Soil samples were analysed for pH, EC, N, P, K, sulphur and micronutrients. The fertility status of the soils is given in Annexure 1. About 150 farmers attended the programme.
