A photoactive hybrid material based on Ru complex in mesoporous MCM-41

摘要

In this study, tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)_ 3~( )2,+ a) strongly luminescent complex, has been physically adsorbed within the channels of mesoporous silica MCM-41 to obtain a photoactive hybrid material. In recent years, the photochemistry and photophysics of Ru(bpy)_3~( h2as atract+ed large at)tention; much of this interest stems from its electrochemiluminescent properties and its redox behaviour. The physico-chemical properties of the hybrid Ru(bpy)_ 3~( 2/+) MCM- 41 material, characterised by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), volumetric analysis and FTIR, Diffuse Reflectance (DR) UV-Vis and photoluminescence spectroscopies will be discussed. This new class of hybrid materials could be a photoluminescent and electrochemiluminescent probe for diagnostics.
