Exact Jacobi elliptic function solutions for some special types of nonlinear evolution equations(*)

Using the du-function method and introducing appropriate transformations, we obtain Jacobi elliptic function solutions for some nonlinear evolution equations such as the modified Kadomtsev-Petviashvilli (inKP) equation, the (2+1)-dimensional sine-Gordon equation and the sinh-Poissou equation. In the limiting case, the solitary wave solutions are also obtained.
