摘要

The unsteady two-dimensional laminar flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid over a stretching surface in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field with viscous dissipation and Joule heating is studied. Taking suitable similarity variables, the governing boundary layer equations are transformed to ordinary differential equations and solved numerically by standard techniques. The effects of unsteadiness, magnetic field, Prandtl number and Eckert number are studied on the velocity and temperature distributions.
