Ford strengthens, lengthens repair parts warranty: Move aims to add dealership service work

DETROIT - Ford Motor Co. wants to drive more business to dealership service departments with a longer, stronger warranty on repair parts. Ford is increasing coverage on Genuine Ford and Motorcraft replacement parts to 24 months from the date of installation. Jay Davis, general sales manager for Ford customer service, plans to announce the coverage at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo this week in Las Vegas.
