Our new JX35 fills the void left by the QX56. EIGHT MONTHS AFTER Handing over the keys to our long-term Infiniti QX56, we still miss its coddling interior and velvety ride. It served us well; we basked in its luxuriousness for more than 25,000 miles, and but for the two times it was rear-ended (flabbergasting, as the QX weighed 5,850 pounds and towered over most other traffic at 75.8 inches in height), it never spent a day out of our stead. The price tag eclipsed that of many homes, at $72,560, but with an options list that stretched to the horizon and included just about every amenity imaginable, the QX felt worth every penny.
