Load cells for automotive testing

Honeywell's load cells are becoming increasingly popular, as they are proving to be an integral part of the design validation process. In today's world, auto makers are faced with many challenges in designing and building the next generation of automobiles. At the top of the list are escalating material costs, mandated pollution reductions, and rising fuel prices. As a result, automotive engineers are pushing the technological limits in vehicle designs, incorporating lighter, yet stronger materials to create greater efficiencies. In fact, load cells are crucial to the entire automotive design and manufacturing process. They are used extensively in component and system level test and assembly; engine and powertrain testing; vehicle and proving-ground testing; final assembly and test; and various motorsports applications. They are instrumental in determining the integrity and optimization of new vehicle and component designs, while helping to ensure efficiency, safety, and proper function.
