In business since 1919, the Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, company Niko makes more than 5,000 different products that are marketed worldwide. The company specializes in products for lighting and electrical applications. A recent challenge for the company has been to create an electrical enclosure that can be mounted to the surface of a plaster wall. The company developed 16 versions of the enclosure, which allows products such as standard plugs, telephone and data-communication sockets, control boxes, light switches and dimmers to be screwed onto the base.
