Asahi Kako 'Eco-Merit' Introduced at Many Dyeing & Finishing Factories in Japan

Asahi Kako Co., Ltd. is placing an emphasis on overseas sales of its "Eco-Merit" S-shaped pipe-type heat recovery device. The company is a dyeing and finishing factory possessing a wide array of processing technologies from cotton, linen and other natural fibers to synthetic fibers including nylon, polyester, acrylic and nylon, as well as from spun fibers and filaments to nonwovens. Based on such advanced technologies, the company has created "Eco-Merit". "Eco-Merit" is a major product of the Environment Engineering Business Unit that was newly set up in October of 2005, and achieves high heat recovery from dirty thermal wastewater, which could not be achieved by plate- or tube-type heat exchange equipment. Furthermore, "Eco-Merit" is increasingly being introduced by firms in the linen supplies and food industries, and more than 200 units have been sold in Japan. Asahi Kako is now seriously considering marketing "Eco-Merit" earnestly abroad.
