摘要

The AA developed a cognitive research on the spreading of Listeria spp. in the more representative habitat of the province of Matera comparing the results of the traditional bacteriological exams with those obtained with an automated system in E.L.F.A. This research was carried out over 294 samples of different extraction chosen, both in wild areas and in agricultural environment in 19 different places with various habitats. Over the 49 positive samples to Listeria spp (16,6 percent) there were isolated 69 strains of it. The most frequent species was L. innocua (46,37 percent) whose presence was discovered in the samples of agricultural environment. Then, in order of spreading followed: L. seeligeri (42,02 percent), that was noted only in those animals living wild areas, L. monocytogenes (7,24 percent), L. ivanovii (4,34 percent). The most contaminated habitat was the clayey hill (33,3 percent), while the lowest rate of contamination was discovered in the coast. Among the different samples examined, the more contaminated were hen faeces (58,8 percent) and silage (40 percent).The assay in E.L.F.A. for Listeria spp. obtained almost the same results of traditional methods, while the one for L. monocytogenes showed the positivity just in one out of three samples resulted bacteriologically positive.
