A review of the genera Otoclinius Brenske 1896, Falsotoclinius n. gen. and Tanyproctoides Petrovitz 1971 (Coleoptera : Melolonthidae : Pachyderninae).

Five species were until recently assigned to the genus Otoclinius Brenske 1896. The rediscovery of a syntype of O. gracilipes Brenske 1896 requires to transfer all species described by Petrovitz to a new genus named Falsotoclinius. The study of those species leads also to re-establish O. fragilis Petrovitz 1980. In addition, O. loebli Baraud 1991 is a synonym of Phalangonyx hormozianensis (Petrovitz 1980) (n. comb.). The genus Tanyproctoides Petrovitz, 1971 and the new subgenus Odontiellus created to group together Tanyproctoides silfverbergi Keith 2002, from Irak and Saudi Arabia, T. freyi (Petrovitz 1968) (n. comb.) and T. mirzayansinus n. sp. from southern Iran. are also reviewed.
