摘要

This review is to emphasis on the development of microsomal glutathione S-transferase (mGST) and its function in drug metabolism. Recent investigation of mGST on its biological properties, and its functions in drug metabolism in the liver were reviewed. Membrane-bound mGST gene superfamily enzymes play an important role in the drug detoxification metabolism in liver microsome, protecting cells against Lipid peroxidation and the development of acquired drug resistance for anti-cancer drug. mGST should be worth to study deeply due to its significance importance in pharmacology and toxicology.
