Weeping Beech Bonsai: Re-bar and re-shaping

Above is a picture of the juniper forest that won "best of show" at the Victoria Pacific Northwest Bonsai Clubs Association Convention in 2004; it was also featured in an article for ABS that concentrated on the restyling of this forest planting.The next few illustrations will concentrate on the use of re-bar to accomplish the final result. The re-bar was on the trees for the show in Victoria, but was hard to see, as the rubber hose was painted with acrylic, the same shade as the bark to hide it.
