The Newlyformed Serica Energy Corporation has acquired a 90% operating interest in the offshore Biliton PSC,covering an area of some 6575km~2 in the Java Sea in water depths of 30-40m.The contract has an initial six-year exploration term with a committed work programme requiring a re-evaluation of all previous exploration activities in the PSC,shooting new 2D seismic and drilling one exploration well.
