Under a contract valued at US125 million,GIL Mauritius Holdings,a subsidiary of Global Industries,will install 338km of 20in diameter pipeline and 1.8km of 12in diameter pipeline for the China National Offshore Oil Corporation(CNOOC).The gas lines,which form part of the South China Sea Panyu/Huizhou gas development project,will be laid by the DP vessel Hercules during 2005 and 2006.Mobilised to Shenzen,China from the Gulf of Mexico,Hercules will be based at Batam Island,Indonesia between work seasons for CNOOC.
