It was my pleasure to have served as the president of the International Society for Rotary Blood Pumps (ISRBP) during the last year. The ISRBP has now grown to be 14 years old and is contributing to the advancement of rotary blood pump technology in so many ways. In this presentation, I would like to highlight the events leading to the formation of the ISRBP as well as important milestones experienced during the last 14 years.
