The current International Code for the Construction and Equipment ofShps Carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk (IBC Code) contains five categories - A,B,C,0 and an Appendix til,which lists products to which the IBC code does not apply.Following a re-evaluation,products have been re-categorised into a new 3 plus 1' category system with pollution categories X,Y,I and other substances (OS).The changes will take effect from 1 January 2007.
