UBE Industries is to increase captive use of caprolactam and reduce exports of the product,a company source told ACN.The source said Ube aimed to increase the proportion of total caprolactam production used for its own nylon resin output to 30% in 2006 from 24% in 2003,and then to 40% by 2010.The company has a 100 000 tonne/year caprolactam plant in Ube city,Japan,a 90 000 tonne/year unit in Sakai city,a 100 000 tonne/year plant in Rayong,Thailand,and a 75 000 tonne/ year plant in Castellon,Spain.
