Honam and LG may split Hyundai assets

Honam Petrochemical and LG Chem are evaluating dividing up the assets of Hyundai Petrochemical along the lines of their core businesses, a source close to the negotiations for the sale of Hyundai told ACN. This latest development emerged last week following the disclosure that a Honam/LG consortium had been selected as the primary negotiator for acquiring the debt-strapped Hyundai (see p4).
