THE RECENT privatisation offer by Sinopec has set the financial market buzzing,pushing up stock prices of some subsidiaries.Share prices of Shanghai Petrochemical Co (SPC) and Yizheng Chemical Fibre Co (YCFC) rose amid unusual trading volumes in early November after Sinopec announced that it was in privatisation talks with Zhen-hai Refining & Chemical Co (ZRCC).SPC's share price shot up by HKus1.5 (USus0.19) to HKus2.625 on 3 November.
