LG Chem has signed a long-term contract to supply battery packs to Hewlett-Pack ard (HP),in a move that is likely to increase the company's prof its from the rechargeable-battery business in the coming years.The South Korean major will supply 1m battery packs by end-2007.The packs will include both 2200 milli-Amp-hour (mAh) and 2400mAh cylindrical lithium-ion batteries.
