Few safety-inspection reports reach Meti

ONLY 3-4 of the 48 chemical and oil companies that were asked to hand in their safety-inspection reports to Japan's Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry (Meti)had done so when ACN went to press.According to a Meti source,this is not unusual as Japanese companies tend to wait until the very last day before submitting any report.
