Boron Complexes of Benzothiazolines Derived from Aromatic Ketones

摘要

Synthetic and spectroscopic characterization of some new boron complexes of benzothiazolines derived from aromatic ketones have been descrbed. The complexes of the types B(NS)_3,B(OPr~i)(NS)_2 and B(OPr~i)_2 (NS) were obtained by 1:3,1:2 and 1:1 molar reactions of triisopropoxyborane with benzothiazolines in dry benzene as solvent and the liberated isopropanol was fractionated off azeotropically with benzene. The resulting new complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses,molecular weight determinations and spectral studies including IR,~1H NMR, ~(11)B NMR and ~(13)C NMR spectra.For tracing out the plssibility of some applied aspects,(NS) donor system and their boron complexes have been screened for their biological activity. The findings are encouraging.
