OFFICIAL PRESENTATION OF WORLD CATALOGUE OF OLIVE VARIETIES

The official media launch of the World Catalogue of Olive Varieties, published in four language editions (English, French, Italian and Spanish), was held in the assembly room of the IOOC offices on 15 November. The IOOC Executive Director presided over the presentation. Accompanying him were some of the internationally renowned faculty and researchers who collaborated in drawing up the catalogue. Those present were Diego Barranco and Isabel Trujillo (Department of Agricultural Science, University of Cordoba), Antonio Cimato (Institute for the Propagation of Woody Crops, CNR Scan-dicci-Florence), and officials from the Technical Division of the IOOC Executive Secretariat. Luis Rallo from the University of Cordoba and Piero Fiorino from the University of Florence were also involved in its compilation.
