The decreasing trend has finally reached the US market with the start of the quarterlycontracting. Prices for SiMn (65 Mn; 17 Si), which were stable for threeconsecutive months, have dropped in November by $8/t to $1,370/t ($0.621/lb)DDP. Contracts for Q1 have been signed at $0.56?0.58/lb ($1,235?1,279/t) DDP,down 2?3 quarter-on-quarter, so spot prices coming down to $0.59?0.63/lb($1,300?1,389/t) DDP by the end of the month due to lower activity in the market.HC FeMn (75 Mn) has gone up by $25/t to $1,570/t DDP.
