The Senate today voted 79-14 to override President Bush's veto of the 23 billion dollars Water Resources Development Act (WRDA). With the House's 361-54 override vote from Nov. 6, the bill is now officially law and marks the first veto override during Bush's tenure. "Enactment of WRDA is a victory for addressing America's water resources needs in a fiscally responsible manner," said Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), who is the ranking member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW).
