Prices to decrease in Russia in coming months

Iron ore prices have continued rising in Russia in April. Formula-based contract prices have added 15% on average following changes in the Chinese index and currency rates, while spot prices have gained 20% as a result of protracted negotiations. By boosting the spot prices for concentrate and pellets, suppliers have been seeking to put pressure on consumers and speed up renewal of long-term agreements.
