All farm staff should know that dairy cow nutrition is key to the success of the farm business, but it's worth reminding them just how important it is.That was according to Hefin Richards, a ruminant nutrition consultant and owner of Profeed Nutrition, who spoke at a dairy seminar organised by HSBC and international feed provider ForFarmers.The seminar, held in October, aimed to investigate ways dairy farmers can maximise value from feed at a time when milk prices are depressed.During his speech, Hefin told delegates that while individual farmers had little influence on the price they received for their milk in today's global marketplace, they did have total influence over the running of their business.
