摘要

The field experiment was conducted during knarif 2008 at the Instructional Farm, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur to study the fertility levels and foliar sprays of thiourea on growth, yield and economics of quality protein maize (Zea mays L.). The growth parameters, yield attributes and yield of QPM were found maximum with application of 100% RDF+10 t FYM/ha and foliar application of 2000 ppm thiourea. Application of 100% RDF+10 t FYM/ha recorded 51.81, 69.72, 41.56 and 50.81% higher dry matter accumulation per plant at harvest, grain, stover and biological yields over control. Foliar spray of 2000 ppm thiourea recoded 17.36, 13.70, 4.21, 7.57, 5.65, 14.63 and 14.60% higher dry matter accumulation at harvest, grain, stover and biological yields, harvest index and total nitrogen and phosphorus uptake over control. While the highest net returns (Rs. 49133/ha) were recorded with application of 125% RDF and foliar spray of 2000 ppm thiourea to the QPM crop.
