THE ApHC MEDALLION program was designed to identify and honor Appaloosas of superior performance ability and quality and are presented in the following order:First Category - BRONZESecond Category - SILVERThird Category - GOLDFourth Category - DIAMOND STUDDEDHorses can earn medallions in four categories: Racing, Performance, Halter and Distance Riding. There is no limit to the number of medallions a horse may earn in any category, but subsequent medallions in the same category will be the same color. For example, if a horse wins its bronze in Hunter Under Saddle (performance category) and its silver in a Hunter In Hand class (halter category), all subsequent performance medallions will be bronze and all halter medallions will be silver.
