Moscow—Likely output levels from Kazakhstan’s giant Kashagan oil field could reach anywhere between 1.5 million and 3 million mt (60,000 b/d and 120,000 b/d), Lyazzat Kiinov, chief executive of state-owned oil and gas producer KazMunaiGaz, said April 29. His comments, in a statement on a government website, came a week after government officials said the launch of production, planned for June, might be delayed for an unspecified period.
