Singapore—Chinese state-owned refiners areexpected to cut their run rates further to 78%in April from 80% in March and 89% in Febru-ary, on the back of a heavy turnaround sea-son, a Platts survey showed April 20.The survey covered 13 of Sinopec’s 32refineries, nine of PetroChina’s 28 refineriesand CNOOC’s Huizhou refinery.The 23 refineries surveyed planned to pro-cess 15.45 million mt of crude oil in April, or3.77 million b/d, accounting for around 78%of their nameplate capacity of around 242million mt/year (4.85 million b/d).
