Refinement/efficiencies in primate telemetry

The single largest inefficiency in Primate Telemetry studies is the extra time necessary to analyse primate data vs. the same amount of Dog Telemetry data. This is due solely to the poorer quality of signal acquired from the primate as a result of thefollowing: Receiver placement in isolation cages. The size of the cages and their location means that the receivers have to be placed at the outside limits for reception of the signals. This results in the appearance of more noise on the signals. EMG(electrical activity of the skeletal muscle) superimposed on the EGG trace.
