A method for determining a torque as well as a braking torque of DC and AC electrical machines by their own parameters: current, voltage, speed etc. is described. The problem of choosing algorithms for data processing in a measurement deviceoperating in complex with an electrical machine is solved. The possibilities of meeting up-to-date requirements for the measurement accuracy with an error at the level 0,5-3% are analysed. Such a method for determining the torque makes it possible in many cases to refuse the application of complicated measurement devices on a machine shaft.
