摘要

A possibility of using superconducting magnetic energy stores to solve the problems of primary control of frequency and power through the tie lines connecting large power pools when there are emergency rejections of active power. Control of power flows through inter-area links when the energy stores operate as generators and consumers of active power is analysed.
