In this article authors suggests an overview of basic methods and means for machine modelling. There are most widerspread simulation language described. There are also described the number of modern packages of application programs, these possibilities, advantages and shortages. Some results of application of methods for computing modelling (simulation, analitical and hibrid) for solving of different tasks of designing information-computing systems are presented. There are also presented some conclusions about possible perspectives of development methods and means of machine modelling.
