摘要

In recent years, VMS (Vehicle Management System) is becoming essential to prevent injustice in a waste management facility. In a conventional type of system, ID card-based identification, bar code-based identification and radio-frequency identification have been used to identify a vehicle. But in either case, it is difficult to identify strictly the vehicles because special owner or driver compliance are required to use an ID-card, bar-cord plate and in-vehicle radio-frequency transponder, and it is possible to mount or dismount those. On the other hand, LPR (License-Plate Recognition) is only approach to identify strictly the vehicles because every road-legal vehicle already has a license plate, and it is regally prohibitive to dismount the license plate from the vehicles. In this paper, we report VMS using VR (Vehicle Recognition system) developed by Nissin electric for Ecoland Otowanomori in KYOTO City.
